Overview

Sharjah Art Foundation manages seven art centres across the Emirate of Sharjah. Located in the central and eastern regions as well as the city of Sharjah, the centres are Sharjah Art Institute, Al Hamriyah Art Centre, Al Dhaid Art Centre, Al Madam Art Centre, Kalba Art Centre, Dibba Al Hisn Art Centre and Khorfakkan Art Centre.

The art centres offer a variety of arts-based workshops and courses aimed at people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds. These activities encourage public engagement, highlight creativity and enhance the cultural experience of the local community.

Programme

The Children’s Education Programme at Art Centres organises courses and workshops focusing on different aspects of contemporary art practices. Designed for participants between the ages of 8 and 15, the summer 2018 sessions run from 1 July to 30 August. All courses and workshops are in Arabic unless otherwise indicated.

From 8 to 25 July 2018, the Art Centres will offer three summer camp sessions for children aged 7 to 15 years.

All Sharjah Art Foundation events are free and open to the public. Materials used in courses and workshops will be provided by the foundation.
