Meet-up: Astronomy and Illustrations
Date: Thursday, 21 April 2022

Enjoy a night packed with astronomy and art with your fellow artists and community members at the Sharjah Museum of Islamic Civilization. Participants are going to embark on a short tour exploring the Ibn Al-Haytham Gallery of Science and Technology, and gain a deeper understanding of Islamic scholars’ contributions to the world of astronomy among other technologies. They will then gather under the magical astrology-themed mosaic dome at the upper floor of the museum to discuss, share tales, and enjoy illustrating under the theme of astrology in a casual setting.
Materials will be provided, but feel free to bring your own as well. Please note that only dry illustrating materials will be permitted to preserve the furniture and carpets of the upper floor (ie. graphite pencils/coloring pencils).
