Quilting with clay
Workshop for Children and Families
Date: Sunday, 7 August 2022

Location: Collections Building, Arts Square
Ages: 6–10

In this workshop, participants will work with a new concept of quilting by using clay. They will create different shapes and textures using hand building techniques, and then combine them to create tiles.
Make your own freestyle fabric and net sculptures
Workshop for Children and Families

Timings: 11:00 am–1:00 pm
Location: Collections Building, Arts Square
Ages: 6–10

In this workshop, participants will visit a tailoring shop in the neighbourhood and gather some fabric scraps of their choice. They will work in groups to learn and create a sculpture out of wire net material, the fabric scraps they gathered and other found objects.

In this workshop, participants will make a sculpture out of colourful wires. This activity will help them explore and develop an understanding of how a flat shape can be transformed into a 3D object.
