Biography
A platform co-founded by Walid Al Wawi, Samt is one of the first virtual gallery spaces to deal strictly with the political Middle East through Anonymous Contributions and provide a mentorship programme for artists. Born in 1988, Al Wawi is concerned with the contemporary hybridisation of Middle Eastern identity and the implication of its geopolitical claustrophobia upon cultural naturalisation.
