Biography
Aisha Deemas is Director of Executive A airs at the Sharjah Museums Department (SMD) since June 2012. She is responsible for long-term planning and overall management of the services provided to all the museums under the management of SMD. Deemas joined SMD on a two-year curatorial training programme, where her training included working in research, documentation, exhibition layout and design, visitor services and museum management. She was appointed Curator at the Sharjah Museum of Islamic Civilisation in 2008, where her role was to oversee the museum’s collections, organise exhibitions and events, develop national and international collaborations. Deemas holds a BA in International Studies from the American University of Sharjah.
