Biography

Rania Jishi is a multidisciplinary artist specialising in illustration and curious about pottery. She is the founder of Naqd Critique (2017), an artist-run platform of critique sessions organised across the UAE. During COVID-19, she founded Forsa and co-founded Forsa School. Jishi currently works as an Adults Program Specialist at the Department of Culture and Tourism in Abu Dhabi. Other teaching and education experience include work with Sharjah Art Foundation, Guggenheim Abu Dhabi, Art Dubai, New York University Abu Dhabi and other organisations in the UAE. She graduated with a BA in Studio Art from the School of Visual Communications, American University in Dubai. She is also a Salama Emerging Artist Fellowship (SEAF) fellow and a Campus Art Dubai alumna.
