Pablo Lobato

Biography

Given situations and unpredictable materials are dealt with via an economy of gestures that echo Pablo Lobato's experience in documentary film. He is one of the founders of Teia, a center for audiovisual research and production headquartered in Belo Horizonte that was established in 2002.
Lobato’s recent exhibitions include The Storytellers, Stenersen Museum, Oslo, Norway (2012); Panorama da Arte Brasileira, Museu de Arte Moderna de São Paulo (2011); and The Desire for Form – O Desejo da Forma: Neoconcretismo and Contemporary Art from Brazil, Akademie der Künste, Berlin, Germany (2010).
