Biography

Mehelli Modi was born into a filmmaking family in Mumbai, India. He moved to London in the late 1960s and had a long career in the music industry, working first for major international music labels and eventually setting up an independent music company.

Mehelli’s first love had always been cinema, and in 2005 he founded Second Run, a DVD company dedicated to releasing outstanding, award-winning films from around the world. Second Run has grown to become a respected international DVD label, bringing a lovingly curated selection of films to new audiences.
