Kugelbahn (Ball Valve)

Overview

Kugelbahn is a site specific work developed in response to the distinctive ramps of the Sharjah Art Museum. It is composed of a highly reflective ball that rolls down the exhibition ramps passing through and reflecting the building and the exhibition as it travels. Continuously in motion, once it reaches the bottom of the 4 level building the ball is picked up by one of the gallery‘s guards, returned to the start and set up to allow it to complete its journey again through the exhibition and Museum building.
