This retrospective exhibition offers a rare glimpse into the art and life of Kamal Yossef, one of the most accomplished Egyptian surrealists of his generation. The exhibition features numerous paintings and sculptures by the artist, who was an important and active member of the avant-garde artist movement in Egypt during the middle of the twentieth century. His artworks portray an ethos consistent with the Art and Liberty Group with whom he exhibited, and with the Contemporary Art Group that he helped found in the mid-1940s.
