Overview

This exhibition booklet documents the diverse photographic bodies of work included in Vantage Point Sharjah 4: Self-Portrait and features a statement by Hoor Al Qasimi, President and Director of Sharjah Art Foundation, as well as biographical information on participating artists—amateur and professional photographers—alongside images of the works in the exhibition.

Vantage Point Sharjah 4 is the fourth iteration of one of the annual photography festival initiated by The Foundation in 2013 to generate new dialogues and interactions by developing and promoting artistic and experimental photography within the local community. Works in the exhibition were selected from submissions to an open call to UAE-based photographers around the theme of self-portraiture.
