Words in Tension: Reading Restless Circle

With Salem AlSuwaidi

Ages 16+

In English

How many ways can you write about art? Explore different approaches to wordsmithing as you respond to Afra Al Dhaheri’s Restless Circle. Begin by recording single-word responses to the exhibition. Then discover ways to frame ideas of repetition, exhaustion and invisible labour in selected theoretical and journalistic texts. Finally, explore how Al Dhaheri’s works can open a space for reflection through analytical critique, stream-of-consciousness writing and shared discussion. Consider how perceptions can shift and contradictions can coexist as you write an antithesis of one of your own texts.
