Hicham Ayouch

1976, Morocco

A former journalist, Hicham Ayouch worked for a few years in French television before shifting his career to writing and film directing. Ayouch's first film, The King’s Queens (2005) explored the status of women in Morocco and Angel’s Dust (2006) was about autistic teenagers. He has since directed feature-length fiction films including Cracks (2010); Fissures (2008) and Edges of the Heart (2006). This person was part of Sharjah Biennial 10
