Jesper Just

1974, Copenhagen, Denmark
Lives and works in New York

Jesper Just’s works lack dialogue, allowing viewers to use their imaginations to construct a 'before' and 'after' for the events filmed, creating a larger human melodrama. In 2013, Just’s work was featured in a solo exhibition at the Herning Museum of Contemporary Art, Denmark, and he represented Denmark at the Venice Biennale, Italy. Solo shows of his work have also been held at BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art, Gateshead, UK (2011); Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit, USA (2009) and the Brooklyn Museum, New York (2008).
