Fumito Urabe

The son of a monk, Fumito Urabe is interested in the interaction between Eastern philosophy and contemporary art. Urabe’s work has been exhibited at the Art Tower Mito, Japan (2012); Tokoname Studio Gallery, Nagoya University of Arts, Aichi, Japan (2010); Contemporary Art Museum Ise, Japan (2009); Bunka Forum, Kasugai, Japan (2009) and Kunstakademie Düsseldorf, Germany (2007). Urabe received his BFA, MFA and PhD from Aichi Prefectural University of Fine Arts and Music, Japan. This person was part of Sharjah Biennial 11
