Al MacSween

Al MacSween (b. 1984, Keighley, UK) is a performer, composer and music producer whose career spans multiple genres, including jazz, electronic, contemporary classical, Indian classical, Afro-Cuban and folk music. MacSween has collaborated with artists such as The Cinematic Orchestra, Nubya Garcia, Gary Bartz, Sarathy Korwar, Maya Youssef, Aruna Sairam and Ruby Turner OBE. MacSween co-founded the award-winning group Kefaya, described in 2016 by The Guardian as ‘one of the most intriguing new bands of the year’. They have performed at venues and music festivals worldwide, and their work has been featured on TV and radio stations, showcasing their diverse musical range and innovative approach to sound.
