Ana P. Santos (Sa Tahanan Co.)

Ana P. Santos (b. 1974, Mandaluyong, Philippines) is a Berlin-based investigative journalist. Her work explores the intersections of gender, sexuality and labour migration through multimedia storytelling. She examines overlapping structures of power that contribute to systemic inequality and often centres the lived experiences of those most impacted by policy and social norms. As Pulitzer Center’s 2014 Persephone Miel Fellow, she produced Who Takes Care of Nanny’s Children?, which investigated the emotional and social costs of transnational motherhood among migrant workers in Paris and Dubai. Santos holds a postgraduate degree in gender (sexuality) from the London School of Economics, awarded through a Chevening Scholarship. Drawing on personal narrative and grounded research, her writing bridges the gaps between vulnerable communities and policy makers, advocating for bodily autonomy, agency and justice.
