DJ Haram is an electronic music producer, multidisciplinary propagandist and self-described anti-format deejay originally from New Jersey and currently based in Brooklyn. Stylistically versatile, she is known for her experimental electronic-and-club-music-heavy sets, detail-oriented analogue sound design, abrasive rap collaborations and Central and West Asian traditional musical influences in honour of her Circassian and Syrian ancestry and diasporic experience. DJ Haram makes up half of 700 Bliss, a hip-hop/noise project with Moor Mother; the two released the critically acclaimed album Nothing to Declare (2022). Additionally, she has produced a number of rap collaborations, notably with Armand Hammer of Backwoodz Studioz.
