Grace Karima (b. 1993, Bagamoyo) is a Tanzanian musician, singer and percussionist. She is a member of the Zawose Sisters, a duo dedicated to performing traditional Gogo music. She plays various drums and instruments, including the zeze, a stringed instrument central to Tanzanian folk music. Karima has performed both locally and internationally, contributing to efforts to sustain and share Tanzania’s rich musical culture. Karima has participated in Hii ni Afrika, a musical theatre production, and is also a member of the Bahati Female Band, an all-women ensemble dedicated to uplifting female musicians and promoting East African traditions.
