Liam Wooding

Liam Wooding (b. 1992, Whanganui, Aotearoa New Zealand) is a Māori concert pianist of Te Atihaunui a Pāpārangi, Ngāti Tuera and Ngāti Hinearo descent. Praised for his ‘chameleon-like ability with keyboard colour’ (Radio New Zealand), he performs solo and chamber music across Australasia and beyond. A Fulbright Scholar and graduate of the Australian National Academy of Music, Wooding has collaborated with several artists, including percussionist Steven Schick, soprano Stephanie Acraman and violinist Akiko Miazawa, as well as his own ensemble, Morton Trio. He is a recipient of the Arts Foundation Te Tumu Toi Springboard Award.
