Miguel Bruno Ruiz Nava (RRD: Reproduction and Distribution Network)

Miguel Bruno Ruiz Nava (b. 1990, Mexico City) is a visual artist whose work explores the intersections of visual arts, public engagement and collaborative practices. Working across publishing, photography, sculpture and installation, he challenges the legitimacy of the real and the original, addressing the dichotomy between original and copy through themes of piracy and the commons. In 2017, Ruiz Nava founded Red de Reproducción y Distribución (RRD), a collective and platform for editorial and audiovisual content as well as a public space for exchange between artists and independent publishers. Among his recent exhibitions are Sharjah Biennial 16: to carry (2025); Busan Biennale: Seeing in the Dark (2024); Copy Machine Manifestos, Brooklyn Museum (2023); and Eso es la vida, Palm Springs Art Museum (2023). He participated in residencies at Fukuoka Asian Art Museum (2024), Singapore Art Museum (2024) and Wendy’s Subway, Brooklyn (2024). Ruiz Nava holds a BFA from La Escuela Nacional de Pintura, Mexico City (2015).
