Pauline Lisa Doctolero (b. 1997, San Fernando, Philippines) is a multidisciplinary designer and visual artist based in Dubai. Her work explores ways of witnessing and remembering through moving images, often weaving together personal narratives and collective memory. Rooted in experimentation, Doctolero’s practice moves fluidly between design and visual art, engaging with themes of place, identity and time. Through her self-initiated projects, she investigates the emotional resonance of everyday experiences, creating subtle yet powerful visual languages that speak to diasporic life and memory. In 2022, she received a Salama bint Hamdan Al Nahyan Emerging Artist Fellowship, during which she expanded her research-led and reflective approach to image-making.
