RRD (Red de Reproducción y Distribución / Reproduction and Distribution Network) is an independent collaborative project organised by five artists from Mexico City: Laura Muciño, Joel Castro, Anuar Portugal, Sergio Torres and Miguel Bruno Ruiz Nava. RRD is a platform for the production and distribution of printed and audiovisual content supported by a production studio and a newsstand located in Mexico City. RRD’s newsstand serves as a public meeting ground where artists, independent publishers and pedestrians exchange and present multidisciplinary site-specific projects. RRD proposes alternative modes of dissemination of printed matter and counter information. They have dedicated themselves to building a network among artists and non-artists within the art context of Mexico City. Since their opening in 2017, their activities have included collaborations with multiple artists to produce books, publications, zines, videos, installations and performances at the newsstand.
