Sa Tahanan Co.

Curator Anna Bernice delos Reyes and artist Augustine Paredes founded Sa Tahanan Co. in 2020 in the United Arab Emirates. The art collective provides a platform for Filipino creatives, first within the Arabian Gulf and then across the globe, bridging the accessibility gap through institutional opportunities, including collaborations and resource-sharing for grants and other creative projects. Sa Tahanan Co. focuses on arts practice as a means of diasporic representation. Previous programmes include Cooking from a Migrant Memory and When the Typhoon Ends, both for Diriyah Contemporary Art Biennale (2024). Among the collective’s publications are ‘Critical Times: Interventions in Global Critical Theory’, Asian Artist Collectives Index 6, no. 1 (Asia Art Archive, 2023); ‘Collectives: New Modes of Production’ (written by Melissa Gronlund), Arts of the Emirates (Abu Dhabi Music & Arts Foundation, 2022); and Filipino Poets & Pacita Abad: Glorious and Gilded in Gold (Jameel Arts Centre, 2022).
