Yhonnie Scarce (b. 1973, Woomera, South Australia) is a multidisciplinary artist from the Kokatha and Nukunu peoples. Working primarily with glass and photography, she interrogates the ongoing impact of colonisation on First Nations peoples, using her chosen materials to evoke both political critique and aesthetic intensity. Scarce has exhibited widely in Australia and internationally. In 2024, her work was shown in solo exhibitions at the Art Gallery of Western Australia, Perth, and The Dowse Art Museum, Lower Hutt, Aotearoa New Zealand. Her work has also been presented at the Armory Show, New York; Palais de Tokyo, Paris; Ikon Gallery, Birmingham; Gropius Bau, Berlin; and the Aichi Triennale, Japan, among others. She has received the Yalingwa Artist Fellowship (2020), Indigenous Ceramic Award (2018), and Kate Challis RAKA Award (2018). Her work is held in major public and private collections across Australia, Europe and the United States.
