Betty Adii, a Papuan artist based in Yogyakarta, uses drawing, painting and installation to address issues affecting Papuan women, focusing on the intersection of identity, resistance and the impact of militarism and colonialism. She is also a member of the Udeido Collective.
Septina Layan, a composer and researcher from Merauke, Papua, combines nature sounds and dialects from Papua and Maluku in her choral compositions. She has performed globally and works as a music lecturer in Jayapura whilst also being a cultural researcher. The artist is a co-founder of Action Papua, a community focused on art and literacy in South Papua.
