Emre Hüner

Working with drawing, video, sculpture and installation, as well as writing, Emre Hüner focuses on constructed narratives and eclectic assemblages or structures. His practice explores archaeology, failed utopias, technology, questions of progress and futurities through the reimagination of architectural entities, speculations on language and the materiality of organic and artificial forms.
He recently exhibited solo shows at RODEO, Athens (2023); Arter, Istanbul (2021); Protocinema, New York; STUK, Leuven (2017); the Marso Gallery, Mexico City (2016); CCA Kitakyushu (2015); the Mori Museum, Tokyo (2014); and RODEO, Istanbul (2013). The artist has also participated in various group exhibitions, including the 9th Asian Art Biennial (2024); CMD P for 2079, Allard Pierson Museum, Amsterdam (2020); Further Thoughts on Earthy Materials, Kunsthaus Hamburg (2018); Planet 9, Kunsthalle Darmstadt (2017); the 14th Istanbul Biennial (2015); Manifesta9, Genk (2012); The Generational Triennial: Younger Than Jesus, New Museum, New York (2009); and the 10th Istanbul Biennial (2007).
