M’hammed Kilito

M’hammed Kilito is a photographer and National Geographic Explorer residing in Rabat, and he is represented internationally by VII Photo and Gowen Gallery. His artistic interest revolves around exploring the intricate connections and bonds that individuals and groups form with their environments, whether places of residence, memories or transit points. Kilito is dedicated to capturing narratives that provide insight into this profound connection, and his works delve into subjects such as cultural identity, labour sociology and the impacts of climate change. His photography has earned awards and grants from international institutions, including the World Press Photo Foundation, the National Geographic Society, Magnum Foundation and the Prince Claus Fund, amongst others.
