Raffaela Naldi Rossano

Raffaela Naldi Rossano is a multidisciplinary artist who explores a wide range of media, including installation, video, sculpture, text, drawings and performance. Her artistic practice thrives at the intersection of new archaeology, desire and collective unconscious, domesticity and interspecies kinships. She also delves into the reinterpretation and rewriting of mythologies in the context of the Mediterranean area, starting from her hometown of Naples. Through the activation of transformative processes, she investigates new possible relationships, both psychological and socioeconomical, between spaces, bodies and objects. Rossano won the 19th Premio New York and participated to the International Studio & Curatorial Program (ISCP) residency in 2024. Her film WARP (2022) received the Special Award for an Emerging Artist at the St. Moritz Art Film Festival (SMAFF), and it was part of Fantasmagoriana, LIAF 2022, Kabelvåg (2022). Also, she participated in Quadriennale D’Arte, Rome (2020). Recent exhibitions include the two-person show Undomesticated Voices, Swiss Institute, Milan (2022), and the solo presentation I Confess, der TANK, Basel (2019).
