How do we navigate our bodily connections with nature, landscape and the invisible spirits in our cosmology and bring this complex relationship of movements and emotions to our present understanding of the world? Crafted from tens of thousands of photographs taken by William Johnston of the artist Eiko Otake in the surreal, irradiated landscapes of post-nuclear meltdown Fukushima, Japan, the film A body in Fukushima presents a dance of powerful, mournful gestures that reflect on the tragedy.
