Join artist and current Al Hamriyah Studios resident Maryam Al Tamimi to explore the art of Ebru, the traditional Turkish practice of paper marbling. Often combined with other art forms and techniques, such as calligraphy and bookbinding, Ebru utilises a unique set of materials, including seaweed extract and natural mineral pigments. This session will also introduce you to Al Tamimi’s practice and showcase how she has transformed her studio space to best serve her creative process.

This session is free, and all materials are provided by Sharjah Art Foundation.

The Foundation is committed to making its programmes inclusive and accessible. You will find disability access symbols indicating accessibility for all sessions on the registration form. Kindly contact us in advance to arrange for any support needed.
