Timoteus Anggawan Kusno (artist)
Timoteus Anggawan Kusno investigates the history of colonialism and its narratives within current sociopolitical contexts. In Reversal, a young man dances uncontrollably, his bodily gestures connecting him to past wounds he does not fully understand. The film takes him to old colonial sugar mills, where he discovers ancestral trauma hidden within his body. Anggawan Kusno bridges the real world and the unconscious body to create the third space of history: memory and constructed fantasy.
