Sa Tahanan Co. (art collective)
In 2020, Anna Bernice delos Reyes and Augustine Paredes founded the art collective Sa Tahanan Co., which means ‘in my home’ in Tagalog. Sa Ating Pag-tahan / In Our Stillness—a series of live visual projections, soundscapes, and dance and poetry performances—unpacks the resonances of the root word in its title, ‘tahan’ (to find comfort, to stay, to keep, to hold, to endure). These performances ask: How do we strengthen the space that we claim? How do we carry new formations of community that hold who we were, who we are and who we are becoming? In the journey longer and further away from the motherland, how do we hold each other?
