The Foundation’s annual festival of independent cinema and experimental filmmaking, Sharjah Film Platform (SFP) returns with its seventh edition taking place from 15 to 24 November 2024.
Presented in parallel with the film screenings, this public programme of talks and panel discussions provides an opportunity for learning and gathering. Featuring regional and international filmmakers, this year’s programme focuses on notions of modernity in new African and Asian film, cinema as resistance and resilience from Palestine and beyond, and innovations in documentary filmmaking, among other topics.
