Touched/Untouched

Workshop with All That Blue (Siddhesh Gautam; Bhumika Saraswati)
Ages: 16+
Languages: English

This workshop examines the politics of touch, both physical and metaphorical, through self-publishing. Using photography, drawing, writing, screenshots and layered transparent paper, participants will reflect on emotions that are within reach and those that remain censored or erased. Led by facilitators from caste-oppressed backgrounds in India, Touched/Untouched extends beyond the historical idea of untouchability. It invites participants to navigate personal and political boundaries—whether imposed by family, love, caste, gender, war or displacement. Through collective storytelling, this workshop will be a space to reclaim voice, visibility and resistance. Everything created during this session will be published as a visual book—an archive of voices, both touched and untouched, bound together in print. This will be an exercise in self-publishing, testing the risks we can take, the narratives we can weave and the stories we must tell.
