Workshop with Mariam Alnoaimi
Ages: 16+
Languages: Arabic and English
Using selected readings, maps, archival materials and research on water bodies in Bahrain and the Gulf, both contemporary and historical, this workshop explores the role of water in relation to urbanisation, ecological matters, and human and more-than-human intersections.
In an open structure, participants are welcome to engage with any of the materials and contribute to making collective zines. The workshop serves as a space for coming together, exchanging thoughts, forging connections and creating new insights that can uncover multiple readings of the same documents.
The workshop is an invitation to collectively reflect on the complex interactions within the ecosystem, including both the built and natural environment, as well as histories, rituals and current realities.
