Mario Santanilla’s practice moves across mediums, rummaging through different layers of space while questioning the conventions of photography, video, sound and installation. Guided by research on architecture, storytelling and screen-based technologies, he explores how these three elements condition behaviour and represent social realities. Santanilla’s work has been presented at Espacio Odeón, Bogotá (2018–2019); March Meeting, Sharjah Art Foundation (2018); ArteCámara & Ciclo Prisma, ARTBO, Bogotá (2016, 2017); FLORA ars+natura, Bogotá (2013, 2017) and CAMPO, Bogotá (2016), among others. He also participated in Ashkal Alwan’s Home Workspace Program, Beirut (2017–2018) and Escuela Flora at Flora ars+natura, Bogotá (2016). He holds a BFA from the Jorge Tadeo Lozano University, Bogotá (2015). He was born in 1991 in Bogotá, where he continues to live and work. SAF participation: March Project 2019 March Meeting 2018
