La Revuelta

Est. 2020
La Revuelta is an all-female curatorial collective of intersectional and multi-talented women in art, founded during the 2020 pandemic. It has created around its practice, a learning community where female and LBT spaces are generated, through routes and methodologies in personal, artistic and professional fields. Their practice arises from the art of "curaduría comunitaria", since the goal is the recovery of social fabric through women and feminized bodies, in reference to the fact that we are diverse colored threads (Cabnal, 2010). La Revuelta actively denounces the poor representation of women in a predominantly male and occidental art, through projects and research aimed at rewriting the narrative and historical memory, through the views and experiences of Latin American women. The collective participants are Christa Krings (producer and cultural manager), Fernanda Alvarado (photographer and documenter), Jimena Galán Dary (researcher and communicator), Maya Juracán (activist and art curator), Francis Susana Alvarado Pablo (social work student), and Vekis Morales (graphic designer).
