Overview

On January 20, Sharjah Art Foundation participated in The Ripe Food & Craft Market in Al Majaz Waterfront, Sharjah for drop-in garden related activities. Children visiting the market were invited to create food journals, where they shared facts and nutritional information about their favorite vegetables, drew their imaginary garden and invented recipes that they could make at home.

In addition, the children were invited to collectively create a salad using arugula grown in SAF’s Urban Garden and vegetables from the Ripe Market. These drop-in activities raised the children’s awareness about nutrition and helped them work together in the salad-making process.
