Found objects:
In this session, participants will hike in mountainous areas close to the Kalba Art Centre to find different objects for the jewellery they will create in the second session of this workshop. Participants will learn about the different stones and metals naturally found in the environment and ways to evaluate which objects could be most suitable and/or effective for jewellery.
Making jewellery:
In this session, participants will learn about techniques, tools and materials for making jewellery. Inspired by the natural landscapes of Kalba, they will then make their own jewellery using their found objects from the hike.
