After viewing Marwa Arsanios’ work and learning about the artist’s concept of a relationship between plants and humans, participants will learn planting techniques and gain a basic understanding of agriculture and ways the community can support it.
Ages: 6–10
Participants will tour Bait Al Serkal to view the works of artist Michael Rakowitz. Then they will work in groups to create a stop motion video, making use of everyday objects such as chairs, cups and plants that are provided. The objects will be colour-coded, and each group will work with a different colour to complete their videos.
