Course Description
Inspired by SB14 artist Nalina Malani’s 11-panel reverse painting All We Imagine as Light (2017), this workshop introduces participants to the specialised craft of reverse painting on a transparent surface, typically a glass or acrylic sheet. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about this painting technique, dating back centuries. They will gain an understanding of how to skilfully compose an image or pattern of their choosing and develop an artwork across a series of acrylic sheets to create a polyptych—a painting divided into multiple panels.
