Cardboard portraits
Workshop for Children and Families

Date: Sunday, 24 July 2022
Timings: 11:00 am–1:00 pm
Location: Collections Building, Arts Square
Ages: 6–10
Languages: English and Arabic




In this workshop, participants will create portraits out of cut pieces of cardboard, using a technique of creating collage compositions. They will start working on a flat board, add an outline and then build the work with pieces of different shapes to make a full face.


Printmaking with foam boards
Workshop for Children and Families

Date: Tuesday, 26 July 2022
Timings: 11:00 am–1:00 pm
Location: Collections Building, Arts Square
Ages: 6–10
Languages: English and Arabic




In this workshop, participants will be introduced to some examples of the art of printmaking. They will then use a foam board printing technique to design items, such as gift wrap paper, a notebook-cover or tote bag.

Stop motion video
Workshop for Children and Families

Date: Thursday, 28 July 2022
Timings: 11:00 am–1:00 pm
Location: Collections Building, Arts Square
Ages: 6–10
Languages: English and Arabic



This workshop will explore techniques required to create a stop motion video through live demonstration and hands-on practice. Using different types of toys in the process, participants will produce a final video and receive feedback about their work from the instructor at the end of the workshop.
