Overview

Bait Al Shamsi Nights are back! Join workshops and meetups focused on music, skateboarding, still life drawing, photography, the history of Bait Obaid Al Shamsi and much more.
Designed for all ages and abilities, the programme takes place on Fridays, 11 November 2022 to 13 January 2023, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm, at the heritage house Bait Obaid Al Shamsi, Arts Square. This event is free and open to the public.

Photowalk: Sharjah by Night
Programme for Children and Families

Join an expedition to explore the lively and bustling shops, restaurants and street life in #SAFneighbourhood. Get to know the neighbourhood’s vibrant night scene through photography, food tasting and interviews with pedestrians and shopkeepers. The photowalk will end with conversation and a display of photos at Bait Obaid Al Shamsi.



Playing with Clay
Early Learning Art Programme

Date: Friday, 16 December 2022
Timings: 6:30 pm–9:00 pm
Location: Bait Obaid Al Shamsi, Arts Square
Ages: 2–5 (All toddlers should be accompanied by a parent or a caregiver.)
Languages: English and Arabic

During this open session, toddlers will enjoy working with clay, stones and other objects to create their own artworks. They will also improve their fine motor skills and sensory awareness.

Printing on Tote Bags
Programme for Youth and Adults

Decorate a tote bag with different patterns and prints that you create. You can take inspiration from images, logos and designs selected and printed from the exhibition Pop South Asia: Artistic Explorations in the Popular.
