Seminar Description
For decades, artists and activists have used their own artistic practice to spark social transformation. This seminar looks at ways in which particular contemporary artists and artist collectives challenge social, political and cultural norms to produce change. Students will engage in discussion using key artists as case studies. Participants will also work individually and in groups to think creatively about strategies for putting their own personal truths into political/public contexts to draw attention to issues that they are passionate about.
