Foil Embossing

In this workshop, participants will learn the technique of using yarn and foil together to produce a creative artwork inspired by nature and its colours. Participants will use their imagination to ‘draw’ with yarn. Then they will cover their yarn drawing with aluminium foil and paint it. This workshop will teach the participants creative alternative ways to draw and paint using different materials.

The Film Matilda (1996) and Khorfakkan Cinema (2016)

Participants will watch the children’s film Matilda in the Dar Al Nadwa cinema hall and then tour the exhibition of artist Ammar Al Attar‘s Khorfakkan Cinema to understand concepts related to the old film industry and develop an appreciation of early cinematic efforts.
