The aroma of toasted flour, almonds and cardamom from the traditional dessert betheeth is often associated with the beginning of winter in Emirati households. In this workshop, participants will engage with regular members of the Public Majlis in the Heart of Sharjah as they listen to their stories associated with traditional Emirati sweets. Then they will work together to make the Emirati winter dessert.

Shefa AlHammadi’s culinary passion developed at a very young age due to her mother’s enthusiasm for food and cooking. In 2016, AlHammadi joined Dubai's School of Culinary & Finishing Arts (SCAFA) to earn a diploma. Three years later, she launched an eponymous cooking practice, for which she now creates recipes and shares them with her audience.
