Often in contemporary sculpture, materials shape meaning. An artist’s choice of material often affects our understanding of their work. This seminar examines the story every art work tells; the story of its making and meaning; the material choice made by the artist and how these choices affect our understanding of their work. This seminar includes readings, discussion and art making sessions.
