Sharjah Art Foundation President and Director Hoor Al Qasimi concluded the 13th March Meeting with closing remarks that revisited the discussions and ideas that took place over the 10-day programme. Taking place from 12 to 21 March, this edition of the annual gathering featured online talks, panels and presentations led by over 50 speakers and participants as well as on-site film screenings.
March Meeting 2021: ‘Unravelling the Present’ examined the history of Sharjah Biennial and set the stage for Sharjah Biennial 15: ‘Thinking Historically in the Present’, which is scheduled to open in 2022 and was conceived by the visionary curator and scholar Okwui Enwezor. Sharjah Biennial 15 (SB15) will be curated by Hoor Al Qasimi in conjunction with the SB15 Working Group and Advisory Committee.
