Course Description
In this short course, participants will learn the fundamentals of oil painting. They will become familiar with a range of materials and media, learn about different types of brushes and mix their own colours. Colour wheels, colour tinting and the effect of variations in light and shadow on colour will be covered as well. Students will also learn about the usefulness of gray scale and study the elements of composition by making many quick sketches. Building layers of paint ranging from dark to light.
